Spring Fest activities continued with casino night, hosted by Campus Activity Board` March 28 in the MSC Ballroom.

Throughout the duration of casino night, students tried their luck at poker, Texas hold 'Em, craps, black jack, roulette, and the slot machine.

Some students came prepared to win it all, while others came to get a breather from the everyday hustle and bustle of school.

As an added incentive this year CAB offered the biggest winner two step show tickets, two concert tickets, and two Spring Fest T-shirts. DJ Candy Man kept the students entertained and cocktail waiters made sure no one was thirsty.

Prairie View's Panther Dolls gave a brief performance and freshman Nicoli Williams and (RJ) performed an original song titled "No Games."

Outside the ballroom, CAB members setup a mini wedding chapel and performed en "hitch"ments, temporary marriage licenses that lasted throughout the week of Spring Fest. Immediately after the license was signed, a reception was held for newlyweds where cake and punch were served.

CAB member and coordinator for casino night, sophomore Jasmine Parker, said "This night was a big success, and the turnout was great."

"I really did enjoy casino night," stated sophomore Evelyn McCormick. "It gave me something to do when there was nothing to do."

"Casino Night was an outlet for students to escape, and a place where they could gamble and not go into debt," stated Anthony Child. "This is an event Prairie View needs to have every year."
